OCTOBER 21 OCTOBER 22 AI WORKSHOP AT GOOGLE’S BUCHAREST OFFICE, DURING EU CODE WEEK As part of #EUCodeWeek, a workshop on artificial intelligence was held at Google Romania’s office, attended by 40 students from five high schools in Bucharest. The program included theoretical presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and a session on the ethics of AI use. We are pleased to announce that Junior Achievement Romania is among the winners set to receive a $500,000 grant for a project that will help underprivileged youth in Romania, Ireland, Portugal, and Hungary develop skills for careers in the retail sector. This two-year, multi-country program is designed to provide technical training, internships, and job-shadowing opportunities, as well as communication skills and digital literacy training for 4,000 high school students from disadvantaged areas in the four countries.
