ClimaGen: Climate-resilient reGeneration with vulnerable neighborhoods is a Euro-
pean initiative focused on urban regeneration through green solutions, with the aim
of increasing the resilience of cities and contributing to the achievement of climate
neutrality.
The project brings together a broad consortium of 33 partners and involves 9 ci-
ties in Romania, Italy, Serbia, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Estonia, Poland, and
Norway – which will implement innovative solutions for urban greening and sustai-
nable environmental transformation.
The ClimaGen project aims for an integrated and collaborative approach to support
cities’ transition toward sustainability and climate resilience, in our case focusing
on the city of Cluj-Napoca. The project also aims to increase the area of newly cre-
ated and/or restored public green spaces by 25% across the 9 participating cities.
