Re-Value
Re-Value – the European project is implementing yearly Innovation CampTM works-
hops in the waterfront cities of Ålesund, Bruges, Burgas, Rimini, Cascais, Constan-
ța, İzmir, Písek, Rijeka, and Rimini to specifically target youth, teachers and, poten-
tially, parents. The goal is to build awareness and skills to shape local planning and
design, and more broadly climate neutrality processes.
In each Re-Value city, Junior Achievement is using a project-based learning ex-
perience to connect local decision making processes with young people and also
challenge the younger generation to come up with solutions on climate issues de-
fined by local municipalities involved in the Re-Value project.
In Romania, Re-Value project has been implementing Innovation Camps in Con-
stanta since the fall of 2023, together with the municipality, addressing urban plan-
ning challenges. Throughout the camp, students actively participate in a range of
workshops and activities that encourage exploration and hands-on learning.
Through ongoing support from the municipality and the JA team, the project team
was able to guide the students effectively, making sure they received the necessary
feedback and mentorship. The program cultivates innovative thinking and colla-
boration, providing immersive experiences that bridge theoretical knowledge with
practical applications.
