VOLVO FINANCIAL SERVICES AND JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT ARE LAUNCHING THE
THIRD EDITION OF THE PERSONAL AND BUSINESS FINANCIAL SKILLS GLOBAL
FINANCIAL EDUCATION PROJECT
Through access to interactive activities on the JA Learn™ platform, students discover,
alongside their teachers, the importance of money, why it is useful to have a financial
backup plan, and how they can manage their financial resources responsibly. These
theoretical concepts are reinforced through interactions with Volvo Financial Services
volunteers, who help students understand how to build a career step by step, how it can
be tailored to individual interests and skills, and provide concrete examples from the
employees’ professional experience.

WE’RE GETTING READY FOR THE START OF THE TEACH THE FINANCE CHALLENGE
HACKATHON!
Teams of teachers from the counties of Arges, Galati, Iasi, and Vaslui will work from
March 23-30 to develop projects that facilitate the use of financial education concepts
and principles in connection with core subjects.
The interdisciplinary formats developed during the hackathon will come to life in April
in participating schools, helping students develop a comprehensive and real-world
understanding of how money management and financial choices connect to the subjects
they study in school and the decisions they’ll make every day.
