MAY 19 MAY 22 JA GEN-E 2026 ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION – 32 TEAMS WILL COMPETE IN THE NATIONAL FINALS IN BUCHAREST, ON MAY 25 Following the four regional semifinals, 32 student teams qualified for the national final held in Bucharest, on May 25. Throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, more than 2,650 young people took part in the JA BizzFactory™ National Incubator, developing business plans across the 10 categories set out in the regulations. The finalist teams will have the opportunity to pitch their entrepreneurial projects, showcase their prototypes at dedicated booths, and compete for the chance to represent Romania at the European finals in Riga, this July. Romania, KPMG Romania, NN, OMV Petrom, Project Management Institute, Educational Foundation – Project Management Institute, Romanian-American Foundation, UniCredit Foundation 87 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM BUCHAREST AND ILFOV COUNTY PROPOSED SOLUTIONS FOR THE IDEAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, DURING THE ARRIVE INNOVATION CAMP® WORKSHOP On May 20, Junior Achievement Romania hosted the Innovation Camp® event as part of the ARRIVE (Advance Retail Readiness in Vocational Education) educational program, supported by the Citi Foundation. Drawing on the case study “The Path to the First Job for Young People in Romania”, 87 students from nine high schools across Bucharest and Ilfov County collaborated with volunteer mentors and consultants from Citi Romania and JA Romania. Together, they developed solutions to transform internship and work- study programs into modern, impactful, and mutually beneficial experiences for both youth and employers.
