JUNE 9 JUNE 10 TEAM VIVO WON THE INNOVATION IN ENERGY AWARD AT THE GEN-E COMPETITION Team VIVO won the online Innovation in Energy Award, sponsored by the Schneider Electric Foundation. Their project transforms the exterior walls of buildings into sources of green energy. The system uses natural wind vibrations to generate electricity directly on building facades, without blades or noise – an innovative step toward more sustainable cities. Partner: Schneider Electric Foundation MORE THAN 23,000 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS LEARNED HOW TO BALANCE PERSONAL FINANCES WITH ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION THROUGH “ECO-NOMY FOR YOUR COMMUNITY,” A PROJECT DEVELOPED BY JA ROMANIA AND RAIFFEISEN BANK More than 23,000 high school students learned how to balance personal finances with environmental protection through “Eco-nomy for Your Community”, a project developed by JA Romania and Raiffeisen Bank. A total of 275 high schools from across the country participated in this year’s edition of the competition, which aimed to foster responsible behavior among young people, both in terms of financial management and the impact of their consumer decisions on the environment and the community.
