ABC Health – Healthy
Eating. Sport. Prevention
ABC Health – Healthy Eating. Sport. Prevention is part of the international Young
Health Programme, supported by AstraZeneca in more than 20 countries with the
aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The program has been present in Romania since 2012 and aims to encourage
high school students to adopt a healthy lifestyle by developing beneficial habits
and increasing awareness of the risks associated with sedentary behaviour and
unhealthy eating, with an emphasis on the importance of prevention.
The materials address key awareness-building information for young people
regarding both lifestyle choices and the importance of physical activities and
environmental initiatives. The program also includes a series of extracurricular
activities dedicated to the inclusion of students from disadvantaged backgrounds,
closely linked to food choices in setting goals for a healthy lifestyle.
