Guided by their teachers, over 2,700 young people from educational institutions
all over the country registered on the international DreamShaper platform more
than 1,000 entrepreneurial projects in different fields, receiving, as part of the
JA BizzFactory™ Incubator™, mentorship from business volunteers and training
webinars to improve their business plans and develop their business/start-up pilot.
The Gen-E national finals brought together 35 teams of school and university stu-
dents, who presented their projects in front of the jury and impressed the evaluators
with their knowledge acquired in the JA Entrepreneurship Education program, but
also with skills such as creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and communication.
The winners of the national finals, in the School Students and University Students
sections, will represent Romania at the Gen-E 2025 European event held in Athens,
Greece, in July, and will compete against teams of young entrepreneurs from all
over Europe.
School Students section:
n First place: Team Tatohugs – NICOLAE IORGA THEORETICAL HIGH SCHOOL,
Bucharest – coordinating teacher Raluca Marei, proposes to repurpose
potato peels by transforming them into a paste, which, after processing, can be
hardened and shaped into various forms (packaging, plant pots).
n Second place: Team Familink – I.L. CARAGIALE NATIONAL COLLEGE,
Bucharest – coordinating teacher Mariana Cristina Constantinescu,
proposes a family planner application enabling communication and sharing of
daily tasks.
n Third place: Team GUI-TARS, ION BARBU THEORETICAL HIGH SCHOOL,
Bucharest – coordinating teacher Raluca Marei, proposes a modular
musical instrument with interchangeable pieces, inspired by the Lego system.
University Students section:
n First place – team Grydic from the National University of Science and
Technology Politehnica Bucharest, coordinated by teacher Ciprian Ion
Rizescu.
Grydic is an intelligent device, designed to prevent natural disasters and protect
wildlife and people. It detects fires, tracks wild animals (such as bears) and
sends SOS signals in case of emergency.
n Second place – team Vibe$tep from Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest,
coordinated by teacher Daniela Joita, proposes a pair of smart glasses with
