For over a century worldwide and over
30 years in Romania, Junior Achieve-
ment has been inspiring and preparing
young people to succeed in a global
economy. Today we are celebrating
World NGO Day and will share with the
entire education community the results
and impact of our programs and pro-
jects, thanks to the support of Junior
Achievement Romania board members.
”5 years ago I joined the board of Junior
Achievement Romania, the largest in-
ternational education NGO, and 3 years
ago I accepted with great enthusiasm
PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD
and confidence the role of president of
the board.
I took on this responsibility in a year with many challenges due to the economic
and social context, both at national and global level, during the pandemic. I was
grateful for the fact that the organization adapted quickly and was able to make
smart use of technology and digitize educational content for the different programs
and projects in the portfolio.
Junior Achievement Romania has operated in a hybrid mode and provided teachers
and students with interactive resources and methods, continuing to assume its role
as a link between teachers, volunteer consultants, school/university students and
the digital world in which the new generation is growing up.
Through Junior Achievement programs and projects in Romania, we have been
supporting for over 30 years the development of different types of knowledge, skills
and competencies to inspire and prepare young people for the future and real life,
such as those related to entrepreneurship, finance, career guidance, personal de-
velopment, digital and STEM skills, responsibility and environment.
I am confident that in the future we will continue to create impactful change in the
education community and to help young people identify and realize their potential
through hands-on learning opportunities.”
