”After more than 40 years of experi-
ence as an entrepreneur, I have come
to the conclusion that we are born
entrepreneurs, but managers we be-
come. However, being a good entre-
preneur requires training, you can’t do
everything by instinct.
Through the Junior Achievement pro-
grams we try to educate young people
so that those who are open to entre-
preneurship can succeed in what they
set out to do. Many of the participants
in Junior Achievement programs have
created new businesses, generating

new jobs, increased competitiveness
and productivity in their field, created
new markets, contributed to GDP growth and facilitated innovations that lead to
technological progress.
In the 20 years that I have been a JA Romania board member, I have witnessed
numerous programs and projects, which have ultimately demonstrated the above.
And one of the most relevant programs is Antreprenor Junior, which has constantly
brought new and unexpected ideas, many of them later turned into real businesses.”
