HP LIFE
HP LIFE is a global program supported by the HP Foundation, offering students
free online courses designed to develop the entrepreneurial and IT skills needed to
start and grow a business. The courses are user-friendly, modular, and interactive,
covering a wide range of relevant topics – from design thinking and leadership to
business finance.
Lessons are self-paced, can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and are organized
into five thematic areas: Communication, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance,
Marketing, Operations. The courses are available in Romanian on the JA LearnTM
platform for both high school and university students.
In addition to these educational resources, students participating in the JA BizzFac-
tory™ Incubator have the opportunity to collaborate directly with HP volunteers
through online mentoring sessions and also during an Innovation DayTM workshop
to solve an on-spot challenge and present projects. The mentoring sessions provi-
ded feedback on business plans and support during the pilot phase of their projects
and better prepared them for pitching their ideas during the semifinal and national
final of the Gen-E Entrepreneurship Competition.
The business pilot with the best use of the available technology received the Best
Tech Idea award at the Gen-E national finals.
