The Job Shadow Day experience was very rewarding for me. I realized how important hard work,
meritocracy and self-management are in a successful professional environment. I really liked the
idea that “the chosen path is not a limitation“ and that leadership is more than just a position or a
title. This experience has given me new perspectives and inspiration for my future development and
I am deeply grateful for this opportunity. I encourage anyone to try this program.

Students enjoyed the Job Shadow activity carried out as part of the Girls in Forestry project. It was
well structured, interesting and engaging. The students were even suggested that they could find
work in forestry, especially in the area visited, which piqued their interest and made them consider
further studies in the field. We hope that this project will continue in the following years for forestry
classes.

In the Girls in Forestry project activity, what I liked most was how the volunteers guided us. From
my point of view, this short trip was fully worth it because we learnt many new things. I would
recommend the activity to be carried out with more groups and to also include competitions taking
place in nature.

Students were very interested in the Re-power Your Future topics, particularly useful for develop-
ing their emotional and social skills through knowledge. The benefits of the activity are: increasing
self-esteem, reducing stress and anxiety through self-awareness, developing emotional intelligence
and positive thinking, increasing motivation for academic and professional goals. The students linked
discussion subjects with actual situations from personal experience: how to overcome the fear of ex-
ams, how to manage negative emotions so that they do not impact your behavior, for example when
you do not reach the expected school results, how much tolerance exists in a school group, etc.

The Job Shadow Day experience, part of the Re-power Your Future project, was an eye-opening
experience for me. It gave me the opportunity to go beyond theory and understand what a day at
work in a field I am passionate about is really like. I had the chance to observe dedicated profession-
als, ask them questions and learn from their experiences. This day inspired me to clarify my career
goals and to realize how important it is to choose a path that truly suits me. I highly recommend
this experience to any student who wants to discover his or her potential and get closer to the real
world of work.
