JULY 23 JULY 27 THE THIRD EDITION OF THE ABCS FOR FUTURE PROFESSIONALS EDUCATIONAL PROJECT The ABCs for future professionals project has concluded its third edition, offering 7th- and 8th-grade students the opportunity to discover their skills, interests, and options within the community for continuing their studies in technical fields. This year, 240 students across Arges, Buzau, and Vrancea counties took part in hands-on career guidance activities, working closely with their coordinating teachers, dedicated Holcim Romania volunteers, and partner technical high schools. Partner: Holcim THE HYPOCENTR_ TEAM - FROM THE “SPIRU HARET” NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN TECUCI TOOK THIRD PLACE IN THE GEN-E NATIONAL COMPETITION The Hypocentr_ team (Spiru Haret National High School, Tecuci) and the Axis ADHD team (Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest) placed third in the Gen-E national finals in the “School Students” and “University Students” categories. Both teams presented ideas with a direct impact on society: a rugged laptop, created by Hypocentr_ to function offline in emergency situations, and a digital app developed by Axis ADHD, designed to help neurodivergent and neurotypical users organize their daily activities. Through the Gen-E competition, these young visionaries receive the support they need to turn their innovative concepts into sustainable businesses. 175
