262 students 29 teachers 1 school Re-Power Communities 1 locality career guidance Re-Power Communities is a pilot project developed by Junior Achievement Romania in partnership with Junior Achievement Europe and with the support of the UniCredit Foundation. The initiative aims to develop and test an integrated model for preventing school dropout while strengthening schools as hubs for local community development. By bringing together students, teachers, parents, local authorities, and community stakeholders, the project seeks to create a more supportive educational environment that encourages sustained participation in education. Implemented at Alexandru Rosetti High School in Vidra, Ilfov County, the project promotes a coordinated approach to addressing the factors that contribute to absenteeism and early school leaving. Through educational activities for students, professional development opportunities for teachers, engagement sessions for parents, and community-based initiatives, Re-Power Communities fosters stronger connections between the school and its surrounding community while supporting student engagement and well-being. Beyond improving school attendance, the project helps young people develop skills and mindsets that are relevant to their future educational and career pathways.
